All Beats & Buttons controllers use the opensource OpenDeck software. Which is both convenient and inconvenient at the same time. The software is great, offers a lot of functionality and very customisable. But also it is not build for one controller so sometimes it might not be a 100% fit with the controller you have bought, especially with regards to the information you see in the configurator.
This also means that sometimes the configurator shows more controls than you have available on the midi controller (for example more buttons or analog controls than you have available on your controller).
How to easily setup your controller
All controls will show an indicator in the configurator when you click or move them on the midi controller. So if you want to know which ID/number in the configurator belongs to a certain control on your midi controller, then simply press/turn the control and then the control will light up.
If you go to the ‘BUTTON’ tab in the configurator then choose the ‘GRID’ (both views will work, but grid is easier to see all controls), then press/turn a button (or encoder-push) on your midi controller which then will make a ID/number light up in the configurator on your screen. This means that the ID/number that showed up contains the settings for that button (or encoder-push).
This will work the same for potentiometers (see ‘ANALOG’ tab) and endless encoders (see ‘ENCODER’ tab).
